The Scouts section is designed for 10 1/2 - 14 year olds. Over the years we have done a variety of activities including sailing, canoeing, climbing, caving, camping and taking part in many of the districts events such as the cooking competition, and football competition. We also each year enter the National Scout Car Races competing against troops from all over the country although we are the only group in the district to currently enter the competition. In 2012 we came 3rd place in our class.

We meet every Thursday evening at our Scout Headquarters on Hill Street, Ripley and welcome new members. If you are interested in joining our Scout Troop please email us for more information at

We regularly go on weekend camps to locations such as Drum Hill Scout Camp Site, in Long Eaton and further afield when competing in the Scout Car races which can be anywhere in the country, and each summer the troop goes on a week long summer camp, this years summer camp is going to be North Wales.
