We have two Beaver Colonies at the moment at Ripley, that meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. However currently the Tuesday night colony is full and a waiting list has been started however Thursday Beavers still have some places available.

Both Derwent and Ladybower Beaver Colonies have been making paper planes after being told what makes a plane fly.    They have made compasses by magnetising sewing needles, placing them on corks and floating them in water.   Their Halloween Party was illuminated by Halloween Lanterns which they made by placing Tea Lights in jam jars.   During a Personal Safety Evening they learned how to make a 999 emergency call the correct way.   In another session they made cakes and prepared fresh fruit salad.

Several of the Beavers have now gained their Cyclist Activity Badge and they are all now working on their Creative Challenge Badge.
