The Beavers take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits, and many other outdoor activities. We have two Beaver Colonies at the moment at Ripley, that meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. However currently the Tuesday night colony is full and a waiting list has been started however Thursday Beavers still have some places available.

Both Ladybower and Derwent Beaver Colonies have enjoyed sleepovers at Drum Hill. They have also visited Meadow Farm at Matlock where they had a ride on a Tractor and trailer around the farm. They spent time feeding the sheep and pigs and holding the baby rabbits. After washing their hands they all enjoyed an ice cream.

At HQ they have made clown faces using egg-shaped polystyrene, pipe cleaners and feathers. They have made their own ideas of insects using pegs and pipe cleaners. First Nights Away badges were awarded and three Beavers "swam up" to the Cub Pack. On the last night before the summer recess they enjoyed an evening of sausages cobs and cakes.
